HOW DO I APPLY/SUBMIT MY RESUME FOR JOB OPENINGS WITH PIEDMONT?

All Piedmont job openings are posted on our careers site and are searchable by keyword, location and category. Simply click on the position of interest and click Apply. Once you accept Piedmont’s Privacy Agreement, you’ll be prompted to create a new user account or login with an existing account. After logging in, you’ll be prompted to upload a resume, if you wish, and complete our application process.



IS THERE A DIFFERENT APPLICATION PROCESS FOR INTERNAL PIEDMONT EMPLOYEES?

Current Piedmont employees applying to open positions should use the appropriate link on the careers site homepage or click here. Logging in this way will ensure that you are flagged as an internal applicant and, as such, you will be provided priority consideration. Note that for awareness purposes only, your current manager will be notified if you are selected to interview.



IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY JOBS I CAN APPLY FOR?

There is no limit to the number of jobs for which you can apply, but you should ensure that you meet the minimum qualifications for each job opening so that you are considered a serious applicant.



WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM BEING CONSIDERED FOR A POSITION THAT I APPLIED FOR? CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION OR MAKE UPDATES?

You can check the status of your application or make updates at any time by returning to our career site and following the link to log back into the career portal with the user name and password you previously established. Or you can click here to be automatically rerouted.



IF I’M NOT SELECTED FOR THE JOB THAT I APPLIED FOR, WILL I BE CONSIDERED FOR OTHER SIMILAR OPENINGS OR DO I HAVE TO APPLY FOR THOSE AS WELL?

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PIEDMONT’S BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS?

All contingent offers are based upon successful completion of our pre-employment verification process, which includes the following:

• Criminal background check

• Employment verification

• Education verification

• Professional reference check

• Pre-employment health screening (including a drug and TB skin test)

• Proof of your eligibility to work in the United States

I AM QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION I APPLIED FOR. WHY WASN’T I CONTACTED?

You may be competing with hundreds of other qualified candidates. Applications are screened, and the most qualified candidates are selected to proceed to the next step in our hiring process. Due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to personally respond to all applicants. If selected for an interview, or if additional information is needed, a Piedmont representative will contact you directly via email or telephone.

HOW CAN I LEARN THE PAY RATE OR RANGE FOR A CERTAIN POSITION?

Pay rates and ranges are typically not offered until the final stages of the selection process.



What are the requirements to work at Piedmont HealthCare?  

Because we’re a healthcare institution, safety and quality are of the utmost importance to us. We conduct background checks on all candidates as a contingency to employment within PHC. Additional reviews of backgrounds will take place in the event a candidate:


• Has ever been convicted, pled no contest or pled guilty to a felony

• Has ever been convicted, pled no contest or pled guilty to a misdemeanor involving violence, fraud, writing bad checks, theft, DUI or drugs in the last 10 years

• Has any unresolved charges currently pending against them which, if resulting in an adverse decision, would affect their response to the two questions directly above.

• Is an individual listed by a Federal Agency as excluded or otherwise ineligible for participation in federally funded health care program’s.

• Has ever been the subject of any disciplinary action by a duly authorized state or federal regulatory governmental or enforcement agency, including suspensions, restrictions or actions on professional licensure.

• Has ever been the subject of any exclusion, suspension or debarment action by the General Services Administration, Office of Inspector General or any other federal health care program, including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, or Tricare.

• Has ever had any legal/administrative action taken against your professional license(s), certification(s), and/or registration(s) in any state.

Nurse Residency Program FAQs

DOES PIEDMONT OFFER AN RN RESIDENCY PROGRAM?

HOW LONG IS THE NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM?

The program may last from 9 to 16 weeks, depending on the unit, and the individual resident’s progress.



DOES THE NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM’S CLINICAL TRAINING INCLUDE ALL SHIFTS?

The program’s clinical training may consist of day, night and weekend shifts.



IF ACCEPTED INTO PIEDMONT’S NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM, HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED?

Piedmont’s Nurse Residents are paid a full-time, new graduate rate, and are offered a comprehensive total rewards package.



WHICH PIEDMONT NURSING DEPARTMENTS OFFER NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAMS?

Openings for Nurse Residents depend upon departmental needs. Openings are offered in many areas and may include: Medical Surgical, Emergency Department, Women’s Services, Critical Care, Progressive/Intermediate Care, Transplant, Cardiac Services, and Surgical Services. Applicants may indicate their area of preference during the application process.



HOW DO I APPLY TO PIEDMONT’S NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM?

Openings are posted to Piedmont’s Careers site 5-6 months in advance of the applicable start dates, which vary by hospital. To be considered for acceptance into the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Current unrestricted Georgia RN licensure (you may apply to the program before you are licensed, but you must be licensed before by your start date).

• School of Nursing graduate (3.0 GPA preferred).

• Current AHA-approved BLS certification.

• Additional certifications, such as ACLS and NRP, may be required for certain departments.



DO YOU ONLY ACCEPT BSN GRADUATES INTO THE NURSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM?

We accept ADN, BSN and MSN graduates.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR AN OUT-OF-STATE NURSE TO OBTAIN A GEORGIA NURSING LICENSE?
