The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through thelifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluatethe care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policiesand procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth andaccountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards ofpractice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in theprovision of quality nursing care.
Intensive Care Unit(ICU) 16 beds
Patient populationconsist of chest pain, CHF, renal disease, DKA, digestive disease, pulmonarydisease and standard critical care patients. Nursing competency includes BLS,ACLS, NIHSS certification, and ICU nursing care.
Bedside shift report during nurse and pct handoff 6:45a/p Hourly, purposeful rounding using A.I.D.E.T Compliance with our quality initiatives Multidisciplinary rounding Nurse patient ratios of 2:1 Charge nurse with limited patient load to facilitate daily operations

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
