PRN employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan upon hire, with employee contributions starting from the first paycheck. Piedmont contributions begin after one year of employment and 1,000 hours worked, with matching contributions up to 6%. PRN employees are also eligible for medical coverage through the MyHealth360 PRN Plan.
Once a position is offered and a start date is selected, the employee will receive an email with a link to the Job Experience Page. Employees must apply for a contract through this page, where they can filter assignments by hospital, service line, and shift time. A member of the FCSS leadership team will notify the employee within three business days if their application is selected.
If a position is offered, the HR recruiter will contact the employee to discuss next steps. The recruiter will work with the candidate to schedule new employee orientation (generally offered every Monday), a pre-employment physical, and a background check.
PRN employees must work at least one assignment every six months to maintain employment.
Yes, PRN employees are eligible for per diem shifts after successfully completing their first assignment. Eligibility criteria include having active licenses and required certifications, completing annual health assessments, and having an initial skills checklist.
Yes, PRN employees may transfer to a staff position at any time.
