While operationally independent day-to-day, each center collaborates as eight integrated Piedmont radiotherapy clinics in the metro Atlanta region utilize a common database for record and verify treatment planning, and plan checks. When fully staffed, the region currently consists of 1 chief physicist, 8 staff physicists, 9 medical dosimetrists, and 2 physics residents. Our goal is to maximize our clinical day and work as a team to strive for 40-hour work weeks. Physics clinical coverage is primarily first shift (8am-5pm), and staff are provided flexible work hours to cover clinic and manage routine QA allowing for work-life balance.
Positions are available with Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Piedmont Radiation Therapy clinics are equipped with Varian treatment planning (Eclipse v16.1), EMR (ARIA 15.6/16.1) and Clinac/Truebeam treatment delivery systems. Each clinic is equipped with a CT Simulator (GE/Philips). HDR and LDR (prostate seed implants) are offered at select clinics along with radiopharmaceutical infusions. Clinics have active SBRT and SRS programs. One clinic offers Gamma Knife radiotherapy. MIM Maestro image management software is also available.
