Description
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs a range of duties to include but not limited to patient registration, ordering tests, specimen procurement via capillary, venous and arterial punctures, specimen processing, moderate complexity testing (IStat device), and waived testing.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year phlebotomy experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCCT, or equivalent agency.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in a hospital is preferred.
