Shift/Schedule: Full-time
The Dietary Aide is responsible for the planning and preparation of desserts, breads and beverage items, and is accountable for providing quality dietary service to residents and staff. Duties may include rolling of silverware per department guidelines, washing, drying and storing of dishes, documentation of temperatures, and assisting the cook as needed. The Dietary Aide is responsible to the Dietary Manager with accountability monitored through performance evaluation, direct observation and feedback from customers.
EDUCATION
No education requirements. Must be able to read and write basic English.
EXPERIENCE
No experience required; experience in long term care dietary service desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess the ability to read and understand written instructions, labels, diet orders
Must be familiar with kitchen supplies and equipment.
Must possess the ability to read and record measured temperatures
Physical Demands
Must possess the ability to lift and move boxed food supplies, transport tables, chairs, carts and facilitate dining room arrangements.
