Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patients care. The certified occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates degree from an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current licensure in the State of Georgia. BLS certification through AHA.
