Preadmission Testing- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant- Athens

Overview:

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Preadmission Testing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our Piedmont Athens-Regional Hospital. Our preadmission testing position work Monday through Friday 8:30 17:00 schedule offering a consistent and flexible lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.
Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patients medical record.
Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.

Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Qualifications:

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing Required and
Masters degree in Nursing Required or
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board Required

Work Experience

Experience is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

ACLS Upon Hire Required and
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PAs. Upon Hire Required or
ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required
