Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for managing and providing the direct delivery of quality clinical care to IMS hospital patients in order to meet multiple service needs. Ensures continuity of patient care and eliminates fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the IMS patient experience. Serves as a liaison for patients, visitors, families, physicians and other hospital departments including both internal and external ancillary services.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least eight (8) years of in-patient experience with demonstrated clinical competencies
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current RN license – State of GA
Maintains current BLS certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate a theory-based practice and embrace PMC Professional Nursing Practice Model utilizing a wholistic approach in meeting the needs of patients and their families. Ability to work autonomously within a self-directed work team; held directly accountable for practice. Understand principles and strategies of managed care and impact on delivery of care. Must be flexible and independent, capable of working in a variety of settings to provide optimal patient care. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with professional bedside manner required.
