Responsibilities:
Transporting patients to and from procedure areas including patients that must be accompanied by ACLS personnel. Performing the following tasks: hemostasing arterial/venous puncture sites, prepping patients, cleaning instruments/rooms, preparing sterile trays, working with materials and supplies. Assisting with the day-to-day activities necessary to increase the overall efficiency of the lab. Providing direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and sedation for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Qualifications:Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
- 2 years of related work experience in a health care facility with Cardiac or acute care patient experience Required and
- Experience in obtaining medical history, performing physical examination of patients and providing emergency care during transport Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- ACLS within 2 weeks of employmentRequired and
- EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification,EMT National Registry within 180 Days Required or
- AEMTwithin 180 Days Required
- EMT-Pwithin 180 DaysPreferred
