Cardiac Cath Lab Tech, PRN, Variable

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiac Services, the incumbent performs duties involving direct patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory. The Technologist will assist the Cardiologist and/or Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The Technologist must possess a general knowledge of infection control guidelines, universal precautions, sterile procedures, and must work cohesively with a team.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate of an accredited of an approved and accredited Radiologic Technology Program Required or
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Required

• 2 years of experience in clinical cardiology or critical care experience in ED or ICU Required

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure GA RN license if applicable Upon Hire Required
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Preferred
