Cardiac Sonographer, Days

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954.

We offer 24-hour emergency services, including interventional cardiology, critical care, obstetrics, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are a Primary Stroke Center with on-site neurohospitalists. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, we proudly provide subspecialized care from fellowship-trained providers in advanced gastroenterology and medical and surgical oncology as well as colorectal, breast, thoracic, orthopedic and robotic surgery.

Responsibilities:

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Required
• 1 year of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Required
• Must have and demonstrate a strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Must be able to perform quality Ultrasound examinations in accordance with all Piedmont and ACR standards.
• Must deliver SAFE care in accordance with the Always Safe program.
• Must use AIDET with every encounter and be proficient with service recovery.
• BLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required or
• ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required or
• CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International Required
