Responsibilities:Manages multi-million dollar inventory budget for the adult and geriatric cardiac patient population in the Cath Lab, Peripheral Lab, Electrophysiology Lab and Pacemaker/AICD Lab. Oversees ordering of medical supplies, order entry and vendor billing transactions. Communicates with Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists regarding product and inventory contracts. Ensures accuracy of all supply charges. Tracks utilization, costs and quality issues of inventory and communicates to physicians, administration, materials management and purchasing. Responsible for providing cost data and serving on the Cost Savings Initiative Committee. Requires minimal supervision. Employee is a self-directed individual, qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic and therapeutic service to patients for the Cardiac Cath Lab when necessary to assist Cath Lab staffing to meet patient work load.
Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited school with a current licensure in the State of Georgia as RN, Radiologic Technologist or National Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have minimum of 5 7 years progressive experience/responsibility in Cardiac Cath Lab. Awareness of and exposure to procedure coding/utilization management/reimbursement finance/patient accounting issues a plus.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current licensure in the State of Georgia as RN, Radiologic Technologist or National Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS required
ACLS required
