Responsibilities:

This position supports the division of Patient Care Services through support of clinical and business initiatives identified at the system, entity, and unit levels. This person collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer, the Patient Care Services Directors, department directors and managers, and other hospital and system leadership, using Quality and Process Improvement methods as well as business skills.

What you will do

  • Manages and supports business and clinical operations within Patient Care Services, based on priorities, initiatives and metrics identified at the system, hospital, division, and unit levels.
  • Collaborates with Patient Care Services Executive Council to develop annual operating plan, to include synthesis of quality performance data, management of nursing administration budget, preparation of capital expenditure budget and change management activities associated with major initiatives.
  • Provide operational and business support to the Vice President Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer in the coordination and management of initiatives across patient care areas.
  • Coordinate development and monthly review of Patient Care Services annual operating plan in concert with CNO and Nursing Leadership team.
  • Assist with project management; supports Patient Care Services Executive Council in activities to support nursing designation activities.
  • Participates in staff and organizational planning, data collection and analysis, and short and long-term operational development. Supports department and service line leadership in budgetary and business planning activities.
  • Coordinates, attends and supports key leadership committees including Shared Governance, Nursing Leadership Council, and Patient Care Services leadership teams.
  • Ensures the continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department/division.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required
  • Masters degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible nursing and leadership experience. Strong business skills Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
