Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing and managing Piedmont's system-wide regulatory strategy, Certificate of Need (CON) activities, assisting with strategic planning operations, and supporting litigation preparedness as it relates to regulatory and market initiatives. Working cross-functionally with legal, government affairs, finance, individual entity planning functions, and executive leadership, this position will help identify and evaluate growth opportunities, support new service lines and facility expansions, and drive CON strategy and execution in alignment with state regulations and Piedmont's long-term strategic goals. This position will manage all Certificate of Need activities, as well as support mandatory filings for the System. This includes but is not limited to preparing and submitting CON applications; working with outside consultants as necessary to develop applicable CON applications and/or litigation support; coordinating all required Department of Community Health Filings; and providing oversight for State Mandated Transparency Disclosures for the System. In coordination with Finance, provides oversight for all DCH Annual Surveys for the System. Performs other strategic and regulatory activities as identified by Strategy and Corporate Development, Government and External Affairs and Legal. Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration or business-related field is Required
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Health Policy, Health Administration Preferred

Work Experience

  • 7 years of progressive work experience in a healthcare regulatory position; preferably in Georgia Required
  • Experience working with Department of Community of Health and Certificate of Need in State of Georgia Preferred
