ED Flow Coordinator, Nights

Piedmont Waltons Emergency Department is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment serving patients of all ages as a Level III Trauma Center. With 15 treatment rooms and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, our team is committed to providing high-quality, timely care while emphasizing strong prioritization, teamwork, and professionalism. Full Time Nights 7 PM- 7 AM

Responsibilities: The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED. Qualifications: Education

  • Graduate from a nursing program Required
  • Bachelors Degree of Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
  • 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
  • Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
  • ACLS Required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
  • CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
