Lead Cytotechnologist

Responsibilities: This position is involved in the overall responsibility for the technical aspects of the assigned area(s). The position is a staff position with senior and lead level responsibilities serving as the technical expert for the section. The duties include solving technical problems of unusual difficulty; developing protocols and instructions for procedures; assuring accurate testing is performed; and compliance with quality control procedures and regulatory agencies are met. In addition, this position performs laboratory procedures that will provide data in the diagnosis and treatment of disease for patients of all age categories (infant/neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric). Will be responsible for making independent decisions, recognizing abnormal results, and pursuing appropriate follow up action. Organizes work, sets priorities, meets deadlines and completes assignments. Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology Required
Work Experience
  • 5 years of clinical laboratory experience Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • CN-CYTO - Certified Cytotechnologist Requires certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent Upon Hire Required
