Lead Respiratory Therapist, Nights

At Piedmont Walton, a 77-bed community hospital with a 15-bed Emergency Department and 8-bed ICU, our Respiratory Therapists are essential members of a high-performing, interdisciplinary care team. Serving a diverse patient populationfrom infants to older adultsour RTs provide expert care across a wide spectrum of acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Our therapists work in fast-paced, high-acuity areas including the ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units, supporting everything from mechanical ventilation, intubation, and ABGs to oxygen therapy, EKGs, and EEGs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where clinical skill, critical thinking, and teamwork are valued every day.

Responsibilities: Supports the supervision of shift activities, and acts as the expert during his or her assigned shift. Duties include daily support of staffing and assignments, providing resource support, supporting preceptor tasks, and fulfilling assigned patient care workload. Serves as a role model and advocates a highly efficient, accountable and collaborative team environment between staff and with physicians. Delivers the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care. Qualifications: Education- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required
- 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe. Required
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
- ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
