Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954.
We offer 24-hour emergency services, including interventional cardiology, critical care, obstetrics, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are a Primary Stroke Center with on-site neurohospitalists. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, we proudly provide subspecialized care from fellowship-trained providers in advanced gastroenterology and medical and surgical oncology as well as colorectal, breast, thoracic, orthopedic and robotic surgery.
Responsibilities: Supports the supervision of shift activities, and acts as the expert during his or her assigned shift. Duties include daily support of staffing and assignments, providing resource support, supporting preceptor tasks, and fulfilling assigned patient care workload. Serves as a role model and advocates a highly efficient, accountable and collaborative team environment between staff and with physicians. Delivers the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care. Qualifications:Education
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required
Work Experience
- 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, must be able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe.
Licenses and Certifications
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
- ACLS - ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required
- BLS - Basic Life Support Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
