Manager - Plant Engineering

Overview:

Planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of assigned department functions, which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition, and coordinating construction activities.

Responsibilities:

Planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the Engineering Department functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utilities and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• College degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 10 years of experience in a engineering setting, to include two years (2) supervisory experience Required
• Substantial knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, building structure and construction, understanding of life safety systems, regulatory requirements governing hospitals and an understanding of budgeting procedures Preferred
