Medical Physicist

Overview: Provides physics services related to the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides technical leadership including clinical set-up expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists. Performs quality assurance checks according to regulatory requirements and industry standards for all department equipment.   • Masters degree of Science in Medical Physics, or related discipline Required
Work Experience
  • 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy department or completion of a CAMPEP approved residency program Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics Upon Hire Required and
  • Ability to be listed as an authorized user on State of Georgia Radioactive Material License Upon Hire Required and
  • Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program Upon Hire Required
