Piedmont Atlanta Hospital's Nurse Extern Program will begin May 2026

This is a PRN position with a minimum scheduling requirement of three, 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule.

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Extern, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle. This care includes utilizing treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the pre-licensure nurse in the clinical setting per hospital policy.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

*Currently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited nursing program and successfully completed the first Med/Surg rotation.

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

*BLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross)
