Patient Care Tech - MedSurg, Renal Urology, PT, Nights

Overview:

This position is intended for a PCT level 2 with at least 1 year of PCT, CMA, or CNA experience. Phlebotomy experience is required. It is a part-time position of 2 twelve-hour night shifts per week 7 pm - 7 am. Perfect opportunity for a nursing student with prior healthcare experience.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility with beside patient care experience; phlebotomy experience/certification required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
N/A

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Certification for Certified Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy or Patient Care Technician program required
