Supervisor - Lab Support Services
Overview:
Piedmont Eastside
Responsibilities:The Support Services supervisor is responsible for designing and managing the work activities related to specimen collection, processing and/or customer service and related clerical responsibilities. Organizes plans and directs operational processes, staff scheduling, workflow, human resource issues, staff development, monitors resources, and productivity for all lab support staff including specimen registration, test ordering, collection, labeling, receipt, processing, delivery and archiving. Oversees the performance and quality improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:Education
- Associates Degree from a recognized college or university. Seven or more years of healthcare experience in a laboratory/Hospital setting in lieu of a degree will be accepted Required
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting Required
Additional Licenses and Certifications
- Certification as a medical laboratory technician, medical technologist or phlebotomist Preferred
