PIEDMONT HENRY HOSPITAL - IMAGING DEPARTMENT

Imaging jobs at Piedmont Henry offer the opportunity for you to work in a state-of-the-art hospital featuring the very best equipment, great staff, flexible scheduling, and a great work environment. Our Imaging department has their own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams. We have 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RN's, PA's, and Radiologist.

We are a 259-bed hospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and stroke certified. Our Emergency room sees about 100,000 patients a year.

Our Imaging department consist of the following:

X-ray 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year)

CT 4 CT Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year)

MRI` 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year)

Ultrasound 3 Siemens Rooms (21,000 exams per year)

Breast Health Center 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year)

IR 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year)

Outpatient Diagnostic Center CT, MRI, Mammography & X-ray (11,000 exams per year)

Surgery (OR) 5 GE OEC C-Arms

CSU Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation

Responsibilities: Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications: Education

  • Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred or
  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred
