Why Piedmont Newnan
Piedmont Newnan Hospital is a 217-bed, acute-care, community hospital in Newnan, Georgia. Piedmont Newnan is a cornerstone of wellness as the only acute-care facility in Coweta County. Piedmont Newnan is one of the largest employers in Coweta County, with over 1,300 employees and over 800 physicians. As a not-for-profit organization, hospital earnings go directly back into maintaining and improving services and facilities, and to educational outreach.
Piedmont Newnan recently opened a new $65 million South Tower Expansion Project (STEP) on May 1, 2024, that added 80,000 square feet and three floors in phase one, with the intent to continue to build additional floors in future phases, and is the most significant investment Piedmont Healthcare has made in Coweta County since building this hospital on Poplar Road in 2012.
